The Bears looked pretty good. The Eagles make too many mistakes to be a contender.

Lions are doing pretty good with a big match up against the Bears coming up.............would be nice to whip them again for payback from last years royal screwing. They have added Leonard Davis and Kevin Smith to help a weak running game. The Lions defense can be very tough to play against.  Grade  A-.

Things were really starting to look up for the Bears after going 5-0 in their last 5 games. Now Cutler has a broken thumb and is out for the season. Things are not looking so good. But the fact that JC played on after breaking the thumb should ease concerns as to his toughness. Also, the fact that he chased down the interception and assisted in the tackle should ease fears about his level of committment to the team.
Wait 'til next year!

As a Raider fan, I'm not certain if it's good or bad that Cutler is out of the game against my boys next week.

As a Raiders fan it is definitely good for you. Cutler, Lovie Smith, and Mike Martz had a meeting at the beginning of the win streak and the result was that Martz designs the basic game plan but Cutler calls the plays. Martz seemed to have a hard time understanding that Cutler was not going to be able to throw the long ball from his back. So Cutler started calling plays that basically make him quite a bit safer from D-line pressure and blitzes and opened up the game for the occasional long ball as well as the running game. I don't see how Haney could be "there" yet because of the percentage of snaps he gets to take in practice. Bears defense will do its job but I don't see how the offense can come together in a week.
I'm not counting the Bears out yet but I'd say that the prospects have dimmed quite a bit with this injury.
