Thinking of shaving, would like some advice.

I've just shaved 3 times as far.
I'm using a gillette blue 3 and I'm damn fine with it.
And about the cold weather...a hat/beanie is just fine, I'm wearing on as I write

I would encourage you to do it, if you don't like it your hair will grow back for sure.....at least if you don't have too many Jack Daniels

I use the Headblade, you will need to get used to it but if you shave on a regular basis you will get to a routine pretty soon. Your head is definetely going to feel the cold....I do...but the feeling and look of a freshly shaved, shiny dome is just too much to cover it, although I have to admit sometimes I have to do it, was in Finland last winter and had to cover even my face.......

One of the nice things about having a bald dome is that you really experience the elements.  Its great when water runs over your bare scalp and you feel the breeze blowing or the sun touching your scalp.

It's like a new world.  Embrace it.

Welcome to the brotherhood. First you have to be decided and committed to give sly a try. Then visit a barber and have your head buzzed with bare clippers. When you get home, bring out the shaving cream and razor. I hope you enjoy the right of passage. Best regards.
