Good morning, and thank you for taking the time to peruse my thread.
I would like to advise you that this morning, I used the following product during my head shaving ritual, and for those of you who wet shave rather than electric shave, I would suggest giving this product a try. Although not inexpensive, it does a fine job of not only softening the hair and lubricating the scalp and razor, it is also very soothing. For those of you with a liking for the fresh, summery scent of almonds, then the aroma of this product will be of extra interest.

One thing I must clarify:
Although this is a shower oil, which can be used in the shower to cleanse and revitalize your body, it is actually a dual-purpose product. On the back of the bottle, the following is noted:
May also be applied on wet skin as a shaving base to help razor glide easily over legs and sensitive
areas.
I found it extremely acceptable as a noggin lubricator.

In the United States L'Occitane has shops in most larger malls. I'll have to check out this product, as it sounds like something that would also be beneficial to those of us who use wet/dry shavers in the shower.
I also highly recommend L'Occitane Essential Water (a toner) for a refreshing after the shave application. Let it dry thoroughly and then apply your usual moisturiser.

I do agree, Essential Water is also a fine product. Containing floral water from the Immortelle flower, it is both soothing and repairing, especially for those of us with a rather more mature skin. I can also highly recommend their Cade Shaving Oil, of which I have been a fan for several years.
