trying to quit hairclub

Hello, my name is matt and im currently a member of hairclub.  I started experiencing hairloss in my early twenties and decided to go to hairclub.  Well I got the whole scared experience when the first system they attached to my head was a low grade monofilament medium density system.  I upgraded to an executive program which uses superfinr french lace.  Well, I finally realized how stupid it was paying 684 a month not including gas and tip for hair.  When I tried to quit they said no even though they told me when I first started if I was ever unhappy I could quit anytime.  I then tried to downgrade to a bronze system because they told me you could upgrade and downgrade anytime.  Well, when I tried to do that they said no because I was on one of their top programs, so the lowest program I could downgrade to was the platinum program (581 monthly).  They stated that anything lower would ruin thrir ordering process.  I told them i didnt care about wearing a system anymore and that they could just keep the bronze systems.  They still refused to work with me.  After rereading the paperwork they gave me I realized that the only papers they gave me pertained to pre application process and rules pertaining to the first thirty days.  I never received a copy of my contract with my system agreement.  My question is, is there anyway I could quit or anything I can do to get out of this? Id rather be bald and happy than broke and miserable with a full head of hair.  Thanks.

man, just stop... the customer is always right, and that's final... ask for the number to corporate, and tell them that you're going to complain about the service and quality of the product... then they'll change their tune...

i don't know why men think that it's the end of the world that they're going bald... i grew up with three sisters and a bunch of their "girl" friends... let me tell you that a lot of girls like balding men... i even like balding men... i think it's hot... embrace your natural baldness... better than having a car payment with no car...

They have it automatically taken out of my checking account each month and the bak can't stop the fees. We even marked and deactivated my debit card cause it was deemed stolen as an attempt to stop them.  They never gave me a copy of the contract for my program itself.  When I called the 800 number they played clueless stating they had no clue what the contracts stated but told me that the hairclub I go to should work with me instead of screwing me and told me to call the head of the northern sales, rich narcisi.  However, everytime I call him during business hours he never answers.  The only contract I receieved dealt with the first thirty days and pre and post checkups.  The bank told me they could try to go after hairclub for the money and could potentially block further charges.  I figured id just ask before I decided which route id take.  Their reado for not letting me quit or downgrade is because they state I have eight systems waiting for me down there.  Funny part is that even on the platinum program which replaces your system every four weeks as opposed to three I never had more than two systems waiting for me.  They stated that id be ripping then off cause id have systems they ordered but I never paid for.  Well when you upgrade you pay your new programs price for two to three months cause they order two to three months in advaance, this way they don't get ripped off.  So for example if you go from gold to executive you'd wear your gold piece for two to three months but pay the executive program price for that duration so your paying for your new systems ahead of time.  When I reminded them of this, they stated that there's nothing I could do.  I then said ill pay for this supposed abundance of systems and go on the bronze program all at once.  They still refused to work with me.  Its total bs all they've done is lied and deceived me.

Oh and I've left this rich narcissi multiple msgs over the period of a few weeks and nothing.  No returned calls or anything.  All I get is an automated voice msg stating, "hello, you've reached rich narcissi im currently away from my desk right now please leave a msg and number and ill get back to you." I asked the 800 number for other numbers but they stated that id have to either deal with rich narcissi or the albsny hairclub that I go to.

That's what I thought about doing.  At least everyone now knows how money thirsty they are.  I mean yeah the system was high quality and undectable but for 684 a month its too much.  I mean even my stylist there told me she didn't understand why I was paying a mortgage payment for hair.  If I had known id be going through this crap I would have asked her for advice.  Her attitude towards hairclub isn't that good because she knows how corrupt they are.

Exactly what I was about to say -- it is a mortgage payment.  I'd have to give up a lot of other things in order to afford that.

Hi Matt - I agree with the words of the other guys. Just do what you have to do to stop paying. Im not sure what hairclub is but it sounds like a predatory rip off.

Yeah I posted on someone elses toppic fuse they said they were a hairclub member and that they had quit so I figured id are if any former hairclub members had any advice.  Im tempted to suffocate the sales lady with my "high grade biomatrix" and see how much she loves the system

I don't know where you are but a lot of states have offices that help consumers deal with consumer/business problems and it shouldn't cost you anything.  Make sure you document all your interactions with the hair club before you contact the state agencies so you can show your attempt to try and resolve the issue on your own.

Like the others, I also recommend you close your bank account and open a new one.

Also.... WELCOME to this club .  We'll like you with or without hair.  I'm on day 31 and I LOVE it.

Plus one--consumer rights--call your local bar association for a listing of attorneys handling such matters.  Also contact the BBB and your state attorney general's office consumer affairs department if they have one.  Nothing makes roaches like HCM  run for cover like turning on the lights!

Time to go on the offense...complain about how your scalp was injured by their peoduct, you got no support and it was a total scam...write an op ed, contact local tv....raise a lil' hell!
