Oh wait - how about Down Under, by Men at Work (Australia)?

Vegemite sammich?

Other 80's superstars from Oz.... Olivia Newton-John, Rick Springfield, Little River Band, Air Supply, INXS, AC/DC...

Mmmmm...I love a vegemite sandwich :D Im not overly keen on ONJ, however...

I had my first crush on ONJ :@`

I dont blame you. Back then, she was definitely something to look at. My problem came when she opened her mouth.

My first crush was on Lindsay Wagner :o

I have 2996 songs in iTunes

That's all?  ^-^

Listen, we cant all be Donny & Marie fans you know.

 :P

Z

Donny & Marie were from the 70s. Thought your 2991 tunes were from the 80s.

Who could forget Donny's 80s comeback smash,  the #2 song "Soldier of Love" from 1989!!??!

I dont remember that song either.

Donny is still very popular here  :-\ I guess its because he's done some stage work here too. I dont think anyone here apart from a few would know who Marie is.

Unfortunately, David Hasselhoff is popular here too. How can anyone who literally cant sing manage to have so many hit records?? Although, it never stopped Madonna.

I just Wiki'd her, and she looks a little familiar.

She reminds me of Joss Stone, who falls into the same category IMO.

I was reading on the BBC website today that a server issue has caused Wikipedia to lose MILLIONS of gb of information. I would imagine the D&M discography section is probably incomplete because of that :D

I'll defer to your superior knowledge since clearly you're the D&M expert around here.   ^-^

Im the worlds leading authority on all things D&M :D

As for creativity etc, I think there are a (very) few potentially massive talents around at the moment. IMO, the biggest one is Adele, who I think is staring a life of superstardom in the face. However, to me, the 80s created superstars, whereas the 90s and 00s have created celebrities, which is a different thing altogether. I'm convinced people like Beyonce are popular mainly because they way they wiggle their asses for the camera. Although, Madonna did the same thing in the 80s and she cant sing either.

I do think Adele is one to watch though.
