For his role in 50/50.
Not thrilled with the subject matter of the flick, but I'm a fan of JG-L, so I'll probably see it.

Im pleased I'm not the only one.
He looks like an alien from a 1950s B-movie.
I dont know who he is, never seen him before in my life, but he either needs to grow his hair back or buy one of those Tina Turner hats.

He was a child actor (Tommy from 3rd Rock from the Sun) and transitioned to adult roles (500 Days of Summer, Inception).
I agree that it's not his best look, and that's the premise of the movie 50/50; he's supposed to be a cancer patient.

Well I dont know if that picture was taken on set or not, but if he's playing a cancer patient, they need to work on the make up on his head. You can still see his hair line...

When I was watching the "making of" documentary on the Superman Returns DVD, I was surprised at how much of Kevin Spacey's hairline could be seen when they showed him shooting some scenes. It wasn't visible at all in the film itself though, so that might be something they digitally erase in post-production.

In the previews for 50/50, they show him actually shaving his head for some reason rather than his hair falling out from any treatments.

Yes, very possibly. Mind you, I think he looked kinda freaky with a BALD dome though .
I dont think being BALD suits every single man. Just 99% of us

Many cancer patients preemptively shave their heads before starting chemo, because it can be quite a mess to deal with having your hair fall out haphazardly and gradually over the course of treatment.
