One annoying thing about my stubble is that it makes my scalp itch.  Some moisturizer in the morning helps, but I may shave later so my velcro doesn't bother me all night.

Damn, Medic ... if you keep flexing your dome, I'm going to have go mix up a Schrotini.

Oh, Team Schro was going to a party this afternoon, so I decided to shave the dome this morning for extra smoothness (even though I shaved last night). I didn't have time for a shower, so I did a sink shave. I got the water nice & hot, splashed some pre-shave hot water on the dome and warmed up the HeadBlade. I guess I either didn't warm up the dome or razor enough, because I nicked my dome more in that shave than I have in the last 50 shower shaves. Plus, the HeadSlick in the HeadBlade clogs a lot easier in the sink than the shower.

Moral of the story...shower shaves are infinitely better than sink shaves. Unless there is a medical emergency, I will not be sink shaving the dome ever again.

Schro,

I have that same problem.  The few times I try to shave with my Headblade at the sink, my odds of messing up seem to multiply.  I don't know what it is  :/O, but shower shaves are the best (at least for me).
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Break out the Schrotini's then!  I'm just the opposite when it comes to sink vs shower.  I don't cut myself in the shower, but I've never had a good lasting smooth shave there.  And it seems to take me FOREVER.

I've never been able to shave in the shower, either.  It's too difficult, in a stall shower, to prevent the shower from washing away the shaving gel from areas you haven't shaved yet.  Also -- I'm embarrassed to admit -- I still need to rely on a mirror to make sure I have enough lather on the back of my head, and I like to check the back of my head a couple of times while shaving.  I stand in front of the bathroom mirror and directly to my left is my medicine cabinet.  I like to open the medicine cabinet so the mirrored door can be used to see what still needs to be done on the back of my head.  I guess I could do without the mirror if I really had to, but it would take some getting used to.

Ditto on that one!

I can do the shower thing, but stick to the sink...

Now if you shave at the sink , THEN take a shower...wow do you feel extra BALD and smooth...fun, but work at the sink, because there isn't much time to get the scalp ready for the scraping!

I have been using an electric razor. You guys know of anything that you can use prior to the shave that helps, something that doesn't have alcohol in it.

I had started shaving in the shower about a month ago and even though I do think it does help some with the comfortable part of the shaving I have went back to sink shaving.  My wife brought to my attention that I was spending somewhere around an extra 15 minutes in the shower.  I started thinking about it and decided I should go back to the sink because of the water waste and the bills.  We are living with my grandmother right now and we don't have to pay her too much for being here.  Just a little rent and we buy our own groceries.  The little bit of rent we give her she says is good enough to cover her bills for the house and that's all she needs from us.  So I figured I better not do anything that might raise those bills.  Just playing it safe.  Plus it is a big waste of water.  Hot water at that...$$$

Shower shave here.   takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes.    I also couldn't imagine a day without shaving.

Tried the shower bit like so many recommended.  Couldn't quite get as good as I get at the sink plus like Lance want to smart about water usage.   After five months of shaving I can actually tell by the sound of the razor on the dome whether I got close enough, couldn't tell that in the shower.  Will have to stay the sink for me too!

Well guys, since I just started I am using the headblade in the shower. I also am using the Apricot scrub before I shave, but I gotta say since I started this way, I am already shaving in about 7 minutes. I think I can get to 5 minutes or less once I learn my scalp better. Will time myself in about a month and let you know.
