I've been a Made in the USA guy forever, most of what I own is USA made if I can help it.  Specifically for me I am a blue oval guy. FORD all the way. Current ride is a 2010 Ford Fusion that I LOVE!!  It has 7.250 miles on it and I've had it for one year this month and I doubt I will ever sell it. Even if I won the lottery, I don't' need a BMW or Benz (I would then get a nice Harley Trike (since I can't ride two wheels anymore) if I came into money.

BTW, sorry for the Chevy comment, but I can't stand Chevy's, my dad has had suburbans all my life and I think they're quality is crap, his interior is all cracked and faded and his current model is only 8 years old.  Mom drives a 96 Lexus and it's only got 65K on it and it's like showroom fresh. Dad also has a 1964 Buick Riviera as his weekend collector car.

2006 Dodge Ram Pickup truck,  Extended cab, four doors and an Eight (8) foot bed.  No sense having a truck unless it can do the things a truck is suppose to do.

Wife - 2005 Cadillac DeVille.  Last of the nice riding, big, Caddys made for 'old' people.
This car will do 29 MPG on the highway at 65 to 70 MPH.   Really.

Lesson to be learned regarding the above.  Save your life in a big vehicle in most crashes.
Pay for that with a bit more fuel.

Eaton Beamer moped.  I live in a small town and the moped is very economical for getting around.  Can't hardly beat 80 mpg! And for winter, just add Carhart Coveralls. It's not all that cold in North Carolina.

Car ... well we have a few  (five drivers at home). Most are 1990's cars that get us there. cheap insurance. cheap cars. Functional.

  • Into my 6th year...why did I ever have hair???
a 1992 Volvo240 GL sedan and a '93 wagon. I love them, they run forever and are boxy enough that there is plenty of room me, the dogs and anythign else I need to haul.

Wait, why does the type of car you drive denote intelligence?
To me, it's still a matter of personal choice.

I was thinking that it had to do with gas mileage and reliability. But I didn't really consider the deeper implications of the question.

A 2009 Ford Fusion is my daily drive......... a great car with 78K miles on it.

My preferred ride is my 2011 Harley Ultra Limited.

Used to drive Chevys, but no more! 3 of my 5 past vehicles were Chevys, and only one of those wasn't a complete pain in the ass!

Our one and only vehicle is a 2007 Honda Accord  :@`

2009 Chevy Traverse....so far, no issues on the Government Motors car.
