Well late lastnight while reading posts on this site AGAIN, i grabbed my beard trimmer and went to town on my barnet.
After 10 years of trying to hide my hairline the worry was over in 10minutes. The years I have wasted wondering what it would be like to have a shaved head, would it be huge? would I struggle to get the women? All the questions I asked myslef over and over were gone!
Since 18 I have wore caps, beanies etc as much to hide my hair as it was convienance. My hairloss has been very gradual and if I spent a bot time on it I could fool everyone into believeing I had a full head off hair. I suppose I have been lucky in life as the job I am in allows me to wear hats so the only time I would need to do my hair would be if I was going out on the town.
For years I never went swimming even on holiday without wearing a cap and saying it was to protect me from the sun. I gave up football as I could not control the weather so who knows what would happen if there was a down pour. I missed nights out due to the short notice as I would have to spend time showering, blow drying, hairspraying etc etc. The list is endless but even after all of the above Iv still had a great life sure it got me down now and again but thats life, everyone has days like that.
I was planning on writing a real motivational post but there is nothing to it, as soon as you take the 1st snip your hooked, no one gives a sh*t what you look like and if they do then more times than not its because they are insecure so be the bigger person and take control of your life.
Thanks to all the guys on this site for all the positive posts you have no idea how much you have helped. I dont normally go onto forums and write messages but I felt so trongly that if I could help just one person take the plunge it may save them years of turmoil
Appologies for the scatty post but not got time to go over and make it perfect.
If anyone has any questions please let me know.
Cheers boys
G
That is great, well done

I am still in the 'hairloss is ruining everything' stage

Hope I can find the courage you did!
Moggo.
G, whethet or not you intended to or think you did you wrote a very motivational post. I particularly liked the part where you observed that no one gives a $h!t. More observations like yours and the knowledge that this is, in reality, nothing more than a haircut will enable many people to take this step. Also liked the observation about once you got started you were hooked, I can remember that feeling.
Good luck and welcome.
Good job G - continue to tell it like it is!
G what a great post. Good luck with the rest of your worry free life!
Congrats on your new found freedom!
If anyone has any questions please let me know.
How about a photo to show of your new look?
