Although I can't put my finger on the exact "filter" in Photoshop, it looks as if one was used on the old "you." Nothing wrong with that.
But why not "go naked," and just use a standard picture, minimally processed?
A neutral background, fairly indirect lighting, a touch of post-exposure Photoshopping... well, the sort of thing I did for mine. Dining room wall, light from the window and the dining room table chandelier, some Photoshop color adjustment.
Just suggesting.
