For the most part, I got few responses when I first shaved my head bald about a year ago. The strongest ones that I remember came from my sister (who told me she couldn't believe that I did it), a friend (who said something along the lines that it must be very hot out there), a supervisor (who was surprised by by new look), a housemate/friend (who teased me a bit calling me a cue ball), and a a few acquaintances who just looked a bit surprised and wanted to rub my head a bit. Two of these acquaintances were mostly naturally bald themselves.
I was surprised my mother didn't say a thing about it. She had been complaining about my hair if I didn't cut it often and she thought it was getting too shaggy.
I didn't get any negative reactions, but even if I did, i wouldn't have cared. It's my head and I will do as I please provided it's not harmful. I really wanted a new look.
