NHL FINALS!!!!

   Is anyone watching the finals????  Incredible hockey as it should be played with  great speed and hard hitting.  The NHL seems to change for the playoffs and finals and goes back to the fast hard hitting game it was meant to be.

The season does go on WAY too long but the Cup finals are the Cup finals.  O0

There's something bizarre about watching the NHL finals whilst wearing flip flops and a bathing suit. When I was young-during Truman's Administration-Hockey was THE sport of winter. One put on their mukluks and panzer boots to go to a game. Now your attire could be put in the brown paper bag they give away with half pints of hootch at liquor stores. Also, hockey teams in places from Florida to Southern California just seem mis-placed. It's as if the Saddle Dome was closed for a year for repairs and so the team from Calgary is occupying the Fabulous Forum for a bit. The NHL in their expansion went too far afield. While I regret the absence of the Hartford Whales, I don't think I could stomach a team such as the Montego Bay Kissing Gouramis....but then I'm old and set in my ways.

I agree with Blitzed, way too many teams,  in way too many warm places, playing way too many games in a season.   It was much more interesting when there were only six NHL teams in the league, (2 Canadian, 4 US)   
I'd buy my hooch in a 1.75L bottle, so the bag might hold a sweater if needed, even in June.

   It is over and the BRUINS have won................tip my hat to them especially TIM THOMAS.  He put on a clinic.    It was a great series, that was fun to watch!

Being somewhat close to Vancouver, I was for the Canucks.  But this morning, I turned on CBC and saw that there are hockey riots in Vancouver.  I have NEVER understood sports riots.  Come on......it's only a stupid game!
