The Conair Cleanhead is Marginal at Best
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:56:41 AM »
Sorry folks,

I really wanted to like this product, but was not happy with its results.  I had let my hair grow out so I could use it to trim an ultra close style per the promotional material.  Like many, my hair is thinner on top and the ultra close style did not look as good as I could get with the Remington Shortcut or a good barber.  Decided to go sly.  Got the hair down to super short stubble and used the Cleanhead for a while and it is uneven at best.  It looked blotchy and the back felt like velvet; in other words, the short hairs were not being cut.

Went back to my headblade to finish the job and what a delight.  In a fraction of the time, I cleaned up the headshave and I looked like a million bucks.  After the clean head, I looked disheveled.

Hopefully, the cleanhead will be OK for quick touch-ups, but it will not be in my first string of grooming accessories.

In the final analysis, every shaving system does not work the same for every person.

Ken ;)
