Hello all

New member here, and as the title says, so glad I found you guys.  My hair has been thinning out for a few years now and I was always keen to go the buzz cut but never had the courage to follow through with it.  In November last year I decided enough was enough and shaved down to a number 3.  I must say I hated it.  Was so thin on top it look pretty ridiculous.  So I go searching on the net and come across this site and have had a good read about everyones experiences and as everyone always says, its great to have the support that is offered here.

So anyway a month later I was buzzing at a 1 setting and that looked OK but I thought, why not go sly, if I don't like it, it will grow back in a few days.  So I got out the Headblade and watched some vids on youtube about what technique to use.  So away I went, man I was shaking, thinking that it was only a matter of time before I cut myself.  But luckily it all went really well.  I am only shaving with the grain at this point, as I want my head to get used to the blade before going against the grain.  About 3 weeks in now I am getting used to it.  Haven't had any negative comments at all. Just need to get a tan on it now!.

Anyway, just wanted to join up and give a MASSIVE thank you to everyone here, without reading other peoples experiences I wouldn't have gone through with the sly look.

Welcome aboard!! Glad you found us and CONGRATULATIONS on your decision to GO SLY!!

The HEADBLADE can be a bit tricky...so go SLOW when going AGAINST the GRAIN, until you get the hang of it!!
