I use RSS feeds to keep up with this set when I don't have time to visit the actual site. I have a question for anyone else who uses RSS feeds though. Does anyone use a RSS reader that show more than just the first few lines of each post?
I've tried a couple of different readers all with the same result. If anyone knows of a reader that allows you to view the full content of each post please let me know what it is.
In Thunderbird there are 2 display options for RSS feeds: "Article summary" shows the first few lines of text like you mentioned, "web page" shows the complete SBG thread page, positioned at the selected article so you can read the complete post right away (of course it loads a little slower than the summary).
I don't know if Tyler could configure the server differently so the summary text would be longer.
Thanks for the information. I use Google reader for my RSS feeds but that is good information to know. Maybe a reason to switch.
I believe that I'm only providing a summary to the RSS feeds. I've chosen to do this to lighten the load on the server versus having the entire content being pulled.
Thanks for the clarification. That's make sense. I'll just come to the site more often
