Back from the grave
« on: January 24, 2011, 03:33:13 AM »
Hey Guys

Firstly let me just apologise for being absent from this forum for so long!
I have been trying to grow my hair back (with the aim of a #2 in mind) but i always reach a point where i see myself at an unflattering angle/bad lighting and go straight for the clippers, taking it down to a 0.5 again.

I haven't been smooth for a few months now but am probably going to get back into the routine now thats spring's on its way..
I tried to turn my back on the sly way of thinking and instead went for the 'desperate dreamer' approach.
Rather annoyingly people have made the effort to compliment me on my recent hair growth. I feel more comfortable with it at a 0.5 or smooth so it's a bitch to be told 'I much prefer you with hair'

Anyway enough whining, i wanted to ask for alittle advice..

Im heading to Lao's in South east Asia come March, it's going to be very hot/humid and im wondering how best to protect my head (what products should i look into)

I hate hats with a passion, anyway to avoid them would be great but i realise their usefulness.

Thanks

Look forward to cathing up with you all

Steve

Steve,

You mentioned in your post that you tried to turn your back on the "sly way of thinking " due to some "rather annoying people" your acquainted with"....

Don't exactly know what you mean by that, but "they" must have one heck of a svengali-type of influential personality by the way it sounds - especially entertaining their "observations" of you, considering you found them to be "annoying".
Easiest way to handle that is when they start-up, just say...

...But glad to hear you're RE-thinking the SLY GUY within you, especially if you're about to leave the winter blizzards, earthquakes, and torrential floodwaters here in the USA, and enter an EXTREMELY HUMID CLIMATE!!
                                  p0@^  vs     vs    vs

(Hmm.... Suddenly EXTREME HUMID TEMPS may not sound so bad after all [to some...])  - LOL

Aside from that, I've been to Asia (Phillippines to be exact) quite a few times, within the last 10-15 yrs or so, to visit my wife's family and it gets HOT...HOT...HOT over there -

IMO, it seems it stays HOT no matter what season it happens to be, even though my wife says it's all in my head!!!

Highest Possible Sunscreen Protection you can find without a doubt - (especially if you plan to be outdoors quite a bit) -  and if I were in your shoes, I would try and get used to wearing a hat, no matter how much it would bug me!!

Hot and humid humid humid is the name of the game. Take a lot of sweatbands and the less hair the better.
