Here's an update to this thread:

Kody won two more matches (he wrestled 5 matches total for the day) in another tournament this past weekend! He pinned both of the kids he beat. The last boy he beat, in particular, looked like he would be tough and he was. A broad chested well muscled boy.
The two of them went at it hard... it was the best match Kody has been involved in over those three years. Kody was pointing the Hell out of the boy but that kid would not give in an inch.
Kody was way up by points in the third period... he would have had to get pinned to lose. Instead of stalling with the big lead, he took it to the other kid HARD and eventually pinned him.

I've never seen him wrestle like that before.....very determined. He felt bad after the match because he actually hurt the other boy at one point in the third period. I reminded him that he had been hurt plenty of times over the last three years and that it was a part of wrestling.

A few minutes later I saw him and the other boy talking for a few minutes. Apparently Kody had gone and found him to make sure he was OK.... showing that he was a winner both on the mat and off. Thumbs up to my Son! O0
