Hello everyone. My male pattern baldness started when I was 23 when I began noticing my hands were full of hair everyday when I shampooed in the shower. Over the years I heard the radio commercials and TV adds about hair transplants, hair pieces and hair weaves. I looked upon all of those things with disdain. I considered my baldness to be the natural progression of manhood. If I was meant to be bald.....I would just be bald. So be it. I have the classic bald look.....hair on the sides and back and shiney on the top. I never considered shaving clean until I caught up with an old friend one day who progressed thru male pattern baldness over the years himself and decided to shave it all. He wore the look well and counseled me to consider doing the same. I have and hence have recently begun shaving. I've been experimenting though. I've shaved my head using an electric razor, which seemed to work ok, but just not close enough. I tried a blade, but that resulted in a bunch of pimply bumps appearing on my head (which led me to research razor bumps). The friend then told me about Headblades. I went out and bought one. I still get a few bumps but not many. I've hung a mirror in my shower and have begun using the headblade to shave though not daily. I've begun walking the walk and I'm in the process of collecting information. For one, my scalp feels dry and irritated, I have a couple of moles on my scalp so I'm struggling on how to deal with those. What kind of balm to I use that would work best.....etc etc. I hope the information I can get from this forum will help me along the way.
Looking forward to the new style!!
BTW....My wife loves the look and told me that I'm most likely going to get "hit" on!!!! LOL!
