As many of you know, I've had a Love affair the last 16 months with a 2009 Harley Davidson Road King. 12,000 miles in 16 months and it's time to let the King move on. A sad day really for me since I waited 15 years to get a King.
I'll be taking the King for one last ride today..... straight to the dealership...... to trade in on a 2011 Ultra Classic Limited!
Though I'll be sad at the loss of the King..... the joy of 80 watts of music in a full fairing, better seat, heated grips, a tour pack, a bigger engine, ABS brakes, and assorted other luxuries will make the loss a bit easier to take.
And now a moment of silence............
Have fun on the new bike! Cherish the memories of the old bike!
Congrats! I miss my Harley.
Congrats on the new ride Mike...and just in time for SNOW

Ain't that the truth!!??!! The forecast calls for rain the next two days and then highs in the forties on the weekend. I'll still get out on Sunday for a ride with a couple of the guys.
This is a Supreme motorcycle.
Heated grips, ABS, Cruise Control, 4 speaker 80 watt stereo, and a whole host of other comforts, 103 CI motor (that's 1690CC for you common folk).
It's definetly a different ride than the King. The King has wide flat handle bars and in real tight turns my outer arm would be stretched out to the max. The new bars are more compact and not as flat. I had to work the bars more on the King..... these bars you just sort of flick thru the turns.
The seat seems a bit less stretched out too but that may just be because of the different bars. This monster weighs in at about 900 pounds with gas and oil so it's a beast.
I can't wait to get back on it........
That is gonna be one sweet ride Mike. I bought my Softail in November too and still managed to get some good mileage on it that month. Stilll riding here, but it's been spotty as I like to ride it to work but it's been in the 30's most mornings when I leave and I have to be thawed out when I get to work. The ride home in the afternoon though is glorious in the autumn. When you going to ride that bike out this way?

I have a friend leaning on me to ride out that way with him next Summer...........
