The beauty of the Barmah hats, in my opinion, is that the brims look firm but they are actually very flexible. The one in my profile picture can be worn tied up or worn down in the traditional style. I've been wearing my hat for a few months and I recommend them. They are worth looking into before you buy your next one.

I've been wearing my Tilley TW5SS winter hat http://www.tilley.com/The-TW5SS-Soft-Shell-Winter-Hat.aspx a lot lately. I've been pretty happy with it. I don't use the earmuffs though.
