Hydro 5 question
« on: September 17, 2011, 01:44:38 PM »
Whats the strange looking thing on the back side of a Hydro 5 razor for? You pull it downwards and it separates from the rest of the blade.

I looked on their UK website and although it mentions the function, it doesnt explain what the function actually does.

I used one on my noggin around an hour ago and I pulled that thing down but it didnt make any difference to the actual shave. What am I missing?

That, when pulled down, exposes the blade in a trimming mode so you can make a neat clean line with the razor, on your goat for example.  I use it around the junction of the ear and scalp to clean up the little stubble that can be hard to smooth out.  Placed in the usual position it works just like any other cartridge razor.  The other blades that have a trimmer add it and it can only be used to trim.
Oh, and it took me a week to figure out that the part flipped down :D!
