Hello eberyone!

My name is Daniel) And im from Russian Federation. And i`ve just decided to join the SLY BOYS CLUB ;))
Al my life i was either very-long haired or somewhere in "normal" ranges with 6-8cm hairs long.

So here we are. Almost a tottaly bold.
Why almost?

well, im a very step-by-step person in all aspects of my life really. So, i`ve decided to get to "zero" in a two steps really. Few days ago i got hairs of about 12cm long. Cut them off to...mmm i donno, looks like 1,5-2.0cm now. Which is already a "WOW" for me really. At least my freinds got weird looks at me. hehe.... they dont even know whats will happens soon)

And in about a week or two im goint to meet the guy with a scissors once again, to finish the operation.
I did that in 2 steps not because im afraid of. Im 99% confident, but to make it a less shock for my parents, girlfriends and dogs (hell, what is they did recognize me! they will bite me! :-) )
I got the "before" photos, and will post them with my "sly" photos then everything will be acomplished.

okay. Guys and now the newbie-questions time.
I got an idea of 30days rule.

Shave 30 straight days. every morning. COOL!
QUESION number one: Any advice what razor\ to use for that 30 days run. Gilette? Vision? Mach? or should i order a HeadBlade right away and use it? (it seems that to but a HeadBlade start kit - will be a much more cheaper idea, then to use Gillete?).

But the MOST TOP EVER question which iam interested in, is: SO, AFTRER a 30 days?

I mean. Okay, i shaved for the first time. Accomplished the 30-days mission. ok, now what.

Will my hairs grow fast, and i will be forced to use the razirs every morning till the end of my days? (hehe)
Or what? Im just wandering, and trying to realize, if i want to stal tottaly SLY, what must be done (shaving), how ofter (dayly), and, how costly that will be (1 shave \ 1 days... seems pretty scarry because of Gilette razors price)

m? )))

Welcome to SBGs!!! 8)

Once you do it, you will figure out the best for your own routine for keeping it SLY.  I recommend you browse around the forum a little more because there are all kinds of experiences here.

Like my routine probably wouldn't work for you since you seem to have thicker hair...I simply shave in the sink with my Fusion and get as much of the dome as I can see...then I continue in the shower and get the rest of what is left on the dome with my HeadBlade...

добро пожаловать! Welcome to the forum Daniel!

If you currently use a razor to shave your face, that will be fine for your head as well. You can experiment with different razor/shave cream combinations as you progress. As Arnie suggested, check out the threads in this forum that address the subject and read as much as possible about other guys experiences.

Personally, if I were you, I'd get used to shaving your head first before trying the Headblade. Frankly, it takes a bit of getting used to. Once you can skillfully work your way around your dome with a regular razor, then give the Headblade a go.

After 30 days, you'll probably be sold on the Sly concept and want to stay that way. If not, your hair will grow back at its normal rate, most likely to pretty much the same thickness it was prior to shaving it.

Some guys shave every day. Others every other day or even less frequently. It will depend on just how slick you want your head to feel on a regular basis. It's all up to you! Best wishes and good luck. Keep us posted on your progress.
