Shaved with a Merkur DE today....
« on: October 03, 2010, 04:31:10 PM »
and had what I think was the best shave since I started shaving over a year ago.

I was a little bit scared that I would slice open my head, but I took it slow and steady and got the ultimate shave without any nicks or cuts.

Hopefully in time it will become more natural to shave this way and I can learn to do it quicker.

Just thought I would share my experience.

I've been wanting to try a DE on the noggin.  What blade did you use?  What model Merkur did you buy?

From the pictures I've seen of the razor, I don't think I'd want to try to use it on my head. It looks like a great razor, but I have a simular razor that belonged to my grandfather. It uses double sided razors. I still have it somewhere, but haven't used it in years. When I used it on my face, I'd bleed and razor burn really easily when I used it on my face. I never used it for my head, because back then I didn't shave my head. I still had a full head of hair.  :*))
