Is it just me or are there a lot of cops going sly? If so, is there a reason?

At one time I would have thought that Vic Mackey/The Shield had a big effect on the sly in LE syndrome. I don't know how valid that is today because The Shield is only on in re-runs.

I live in the land of State Troopers and I do not know one who is not SLY BALD
I have breakfast with several of them every morning - - - -
Only a few are BBC all the others, if they let it go, have a "horseshoe" like most of us (ages from 25 to 60)

I'd say for the convenience and for the look. I'm noticing, too, that more of us are going sly.

We have a number of officers that shave daily. The deputy chief calls us the "Baldies". Lots of flat tops and crewcuts

I think it's a combination of all the things you fellas mentioned, but most of all, convenience and the intimidation factor.
