This is a song Live like were dying by Kris Allen. I think alot of us when we first started balding were so wrapped up in it that we forgot to just enjoy life. I know lots of people and myself included let the dread of hairloss get over em, but remember you only live once, so make everyday worth it.

Nice topic Kenny...........
And another song with the same basic name but by a different artist (Tim McGraw). I'm not a contemporary country music fan but this song is one of my all time favorites.
The video has scenes from the movie "The Bucket List".
This is a great song in a great movie.................. we could all learn a little something.
Sorry for the hijack but it's in the same vein........

These songs ring very true. I think that's why many people have had near death experiences learn to start living much fuller lives afterward.

I was at a party this past Saturday that some friends of ours have every year. There is always this one couple there that rarely speaks to anyone.... they're not nasty or stuck up... just very quiet. Every year their kids are very reserved.
I hadn't seen these folks in over a year. The last time I saw them the Family was going thru dealing with the horrible murder and mutilation of their 19 year old son. I new this boy and liked him... he umpired baseball games for me in Tournaments a couple years. I'd always pay him after the Tournament and say, "Don't spend this on beer or cigarettes" and we would laugh.
Well when I saw them this past Saturday night at the party they were all so different...... out going, happy, talkative and just plain nice. I was shocked and even commented to the Momhow outgoing her kids had become....... and she talked my ear off.
rs. Koz and I talked about it the next day and we think they just figured out how fragile it all is.

I think all of us tend to forget that we only live once, that once we die theres no 2nd chance. We all tend to feel at times that our lifes can be boring or not as exciting as the guys down the street. When we do that and get jealous over things people have that we don't, we miss out on OUR lives.
I wrote this on facebook a while ago:
When you look back on your life 50 years from now what are you gonn think of the life you lived? You gonna think that you lived one hell of a life or you gonna wish you'd done so much more? Lifes to short to sit around being sad or pissed off at the world. Theres no point in envying the things others have or the way others look. As chances are someone out there probably envys something you have. We all have insecurities about ourselves that we face, but so does everyone else. People are to wrapped up in their own mess to think twice about your problems or even notice them in the first place. Don't waste your days sitting around wishing, if you want something do everything in your power to get it. If you want a big house and nice cars theres nothing stopping you but yourself. Whatever you do though live life with no regrets because if you play it safe you might look back at this time 50 years from now and wish you'd done so much more. Live life to the fullest its the only chance you get!

You're absolutely correct Kenny..... I turned 50 last month and I took some time to reflect on the good and bad of those first fifty years. Man I've crammed a lot into the first 50...... I can't wait to see what happens in the next 50.

I agree with the near life death experience, ive had quite a few of those in my life. About 2months ago I was in a car accident. Me and a few friends were going down this gravel road called "Thrills Hills" As its a series of hills that give you the dropping feeling. We were going about 100mph when we hit some loose gravel and spun out and rolled about 5 times.. lucky no one was hurt but its something that wakes you up.

"Wake up! If you knew for certain that you had a terminal illness--if you had little time left to live--you would waste precious little of it! Well, I'm telling you...you do have a terminal illness: It's called birth. You don't have more than a few years left. No one does! So be happy now, without reason--or you will never be at all." ~Dan Millman, "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior"
