Our founding fathers are surely rolling over in their graves. We are slowly becoming everything that they were escaping. The federal government was never intended to "rule" only to moderate the states as needed.
The other substantial problem we have is career politicians. If you think for one second that the people we elect are looking out for us, then you really aren't paying attention at all! They are on a power trip and only working to preserve their own power and status. I think congress should not be paid, serve two terms max then never be allowed to hold the office again.
If you or I don't do our jobs well, we get fired. But for some reason that is beyond all comprehension, we keep electing the same self serving, ego maniacs over and over and over again. I don't get it.

Tread lightly, my sly bruthas. Political discussions have caused many tense moments on SBG, which is why Tyler set the rules to exclude such discussions. That being said, the above has been civil (including the Ambassador's representation from the UK).
