Head Shaving, Grooming & Care > How To Protect Your Bald Head
Get a good hat and sun screen!!!

Fellows, I have had some lesions cut off the scalp and face before, but have never had a "bump" come up out of no where and become a monster in 3 weeks. Just got back from the dermatologist and had a squamous cell lesion cut off....with another procedure to come next week. Caught it really early, so there will be no problems, but I just wanted to shout out that the sun can get you!!! You younger guys, watch out and protect yourselves NOW so you won't have to deal with this mess 30 years from now. The sucker looked just like a pimple---thought it was nothing---then I realized this thing isn't going away....actually growing everyday! 4 more places were frozen off.
Check yourselves, my brothers, and protect yourselves!!! A nice, big hat is stylish.

Thanks for the heads up Reb. Hope the doctors get you all squared away and you heal soon.

Welcome to the club, a club no one wants to join. Squamous cell and basal cell here, a total of more than 10 :(. At least it wasn't hidden under a combover and aggravated by hair spray. I honestly believe that had I shaved it down when the mpb started and used sunscreen, I probably won't have had a problem since unprotected exposure to sun is the primary cause. Since going sly I've never had a sun problem--used to get red in the sparse areas a lot. Glad you caught it.

Proof positive that you can't be too careful.
Glad you caught it, Reb.

Thanks so much for the well wishes, guys!! I completely agree with saintc regarding the comb over deal....If I had not gone SLY, I probably would not have noticed that lesion until it was a bad, bad dude and a lot more to worry about! Again, thanks, guys! O0
