I agree. It must have been awful to be experiencing hair loss in those days, when the fashion was calling for more, not less, hair and shaved heads were virtually unheard of.
It's guys like you, Andre, who chose to shave full heads of hair, who made headshaving "sly". Otherwise, it would just be something that MPB guys do because they "have to", instead of a cool fashion statement.

Which one -- the regular or disposable? I have a few of the disposables on hand for emergencies if I run out of Mach III blades. That happened recently and when I was out shopping they were all out of them at the store, so I used the Schick Extreme 3 disposables for a few days. It did do a decent job, though I did give myself the worst nick on the side of my head that I have ever had. Would not stop bleeding for a long time and left a nasty scab for days afterwards. I've found that while these razors do leave me feeling just as smooth right after I shave, the stubble seems to return more quickly than with the Mach III.
I'm guessing that the non-disposable is a little better. If you think it's equivalent to the Mach III, I may give it a try. Are you using it on your head too? I'm not as picky about what I use to shave my face. Before I had the goat, I could never get my chin completely smooth no matter what I used. Now I only have to shave my neck and my cheeks and getting those smooth is rarely a problem.

I'm one of those dudes that lost his hair in the late seventies when I was about 22 and it was hell. All you got back then was made fun of or stared at.People could be ignorant asses.It's much easier for young guys today.I hope all those bastards who made me feel uncomfortable are bald now.LOL. Now at 50 short cropped thinning hair is normal.You know mother nature is a woman.Only a woman would do that to a very young guy.Think about it.You notice that women usually don't lose their hair.LOL.I just feel silly tonight.

I use the non-disposeable Extreme3 on my face, RazorX. I am a HeadBlade Classic user for my head (generic Atra catridges). I also use the Ex3 for touching up around the ears. With the Fusion blades running around $3.25 each and Mach3 around $3, I thought $1.85 for the Extreme3 blades was a no brainer. The shave quality is awesome.
