An Essential Sly Accessory?

I'm not sure what's meant by "skullies," but maybe what's being mentioned is:

Ok; now I get it.  As a proper Bostonian-in-exile, I know them as "scally caps".  I have a nice navy blue one that was make in Killarney.  I don't have any that would be light weigh enough to wear in the summer, so I wear baseball caps if I wear anything at all.

Magoo, my favorite ball cap was a plain black one that I bought from a street vendor in Korea.  Ironically, the label in the hat said made in Vietnam.  Go figure- world market and all.
Anyway, I think the plain hat is the way to go!  Unfortunately, I have too many "free" hats with stuff on them (teams, logos, etc.).  
I guess when I stop being cheap, I might have to break down and actually buy another hat.
