Well, I'm glad you asked... or that you opened this thread would be more accurate, but I digress.A couple of years ago I posted to this section of the site kind of whining and moaning a bit about having been single for over 3 years. I went on to describe the qualities I was looking for in a woman. Not very long after that post I met a girl named Jess and we started to hang out. Then we started to date. Then after about a year we moved in together. On May 27th we rented a car and drove (yes DROVE) from Portland, Oregon to McPherson, Kansas. We went down I-5 from P-Town to Los Angeles. Then from there we drove across Northern Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma to arrive in Kansas 4 days after we left.We then spent a week visiting my family and some of my life-long friends (geez! 18 years, really?). It was the first time I'd been home in about 4 years and the first time she'd met any of those folks. It all went swimmingly and so at Dinner on Saturday night (6/5) I proposed! She said yes and we spent the next few days driving home through Western Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Eastern Oregon to return to Portland. We arrived safe and sound and engaged, so that's why I've been away from the site for a couple of weeks. http://www.youtube.com/v/ucMaH8lwcYg&hl=en_US&fs=1&Neither of us has ever been married before. She's 11 years younger than I am and she PREFERS me with the SLY look!
