One last thing I will say about the music I listen to is this...This is mainly to anyone else out there who likes old school hip-hop.  I grew up on old school hip-hop and would probably have to say that is one of my favorite genres of music besides the island stuff.  What is up with the kind of hip-hop that is coming out now-a-days?  I'm being very nice referring to it as hip-hop.  It's sad really.  It's as if the good old stuff is a dying breed.  Like I said before, I guess anyone can get a deal now-a-days?
Yeah i have to agree, old school stuff was the best,Public Enemy,Slick Rick,BDP,oh man i'm gonna have to dig out some old tunes now... 8)

Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to loose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under.
I knew I was going bald when it was taking longer and longer to wash my face

Now that's what I'm talking about.  You took it waaaay back.  But that was definitely the good stuff.  Good to hear another old school fan.  I'm the same way about digging out old music.  I'll hear some old school jam on the radio and be like, "Oh I forgot about that."  I'll go home dig some old stuff out and before I know it I have my whole collection out.  It's nice to reminisce once in a while just to remember what good music sounded like.  Ahhhh.

Have to say Buffett is good, But some R & B is a little more solid for summer listening... some Baby Bash & Lil' Rob on the stereo, some Santana after that, Good Times & Great Oldies right there.
Peace

I listen to mostly 80's metal/hard rock and alot of country.  Van Halen is my favorite followed by Chris LeDoux, Kenny Chesney and Metallica.  I also like old-school rap like NWA and classics like Buddy Holly and the Beach Boys.

I'm with ya dieseldan! I'm a hard-core Chris LeDoux fan. Have been for years. Really like Buddy Holly too, and Metallica. I'm not real big on the newer "pop" country stuff, but some of it I can tolerate.

This is what my oldest brother says about my musical prefs...  "oh ya you like that weird stuff".   ;D  I am proudly stuck in the 70's man!  I like the 60's and some (very little) 80's too but the 70's was it for me.  I'd go back and live there forever if I could.  :@`
Favourite Genres...  Progressive Rock, Trad Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Blues, R&B.
Favourite bands...  Rush, Led Zep, Yes, King Crimson, any trad jazz, Weather Report, Clapton, etc.
There was sooo much cool stuff in the 70's...  elephant weed, purple microdot....  hehehe those were the daze!   ;D

I was downloading music tonight getting ready for the summertime, and I was wondering what kind of music you guys and gals like to listen too?

I'm always looking for new music to download, and I love being reminded of a really cool songs from back in the day. So if you have any suggestions for my playlist, I'm all ears!

My taste in music is extremely eclectic, I listen to all kinds to suit my mood. At the moment I'm really into Fedde Le Grand, this is his and funkerman's site (great music to go clubbing to) which has over two hours worth of free downloads... dunno if you like this stuff but I love it!!
