If that's "hip", I'm proud to be a square!
I've noticed several celebrities that have some "hipster" or "indie" credibility are rocking the MPB look instead of shaving. I haven't seen anything too bad like a combover or a skullet, but they seem to be comfortable growing their hair out. And they always have a beard with the lookMost of these guys have pale complexions, so maybe its a little harder for them to pull off the sly look anyways. Or maybe a shaved head would just gives the impression that they care too much or are giving into main stream pressures, both of which a hipster wouldn't want to be accused of. His few strands look like dyed cotton candy, and cheap cotton candy at that. With the glasses and the blubber he would profit from the Sly look. He couldn't look worse than he does now......
I personally prefer the sly look. But I do think it is healthy that they are not doing, rugs, drugs and plugs. However, it would look better to have the hair trimmed down and not sly rather than long, sloppy while having MPB.
