I refilled my glass of Apple Kool-Aid and got an iPad. I got the 16 GB Wi-Fi version. I am throughly impressed with its capabilities and potential. I am shocked at the battery life. It lasts for a really long time!!!

Now the trick will be to find a good note taking program so I can use it at work for meeting notes.

im too cheap to have every single newest everything. I have a samsung gravity for my phone, I like to keep my computer decently up to date for my gaming habits, but thats about it.

I've been using EverNote and it's pretty good. It's replaced by Engineering Notebook for my daily engineering notes.

The only thing that it's lacking is the ability to draw and doodle. If it had that, it'd be perfect for me. Other note-taking apps that let you draw, don't let you type. It seems that there are no Note apps (yet) that allow both.

EverNote automatically synchs across my laptop and iPad and that's an essential feature for me.

Thanks for the tip on ever note. Ive downloaded it to the iPad. I tried to use it on my iPod in the past but found it difficult on the mini keyboard. I'll definitely give it a try.

I'm with Morthen on this one!  O0
There are just too many toys out there to keep up with everything! :o
I got addicted on a "crackberry" on my last job (and it was free!  Here kid have some candy #**p  )
So I got a customized one for Father's day last year, moved my sim card into that fat little baby, and everything was fine until I wanted to access the Internet.  I found out it was an additional $30/month.  Dang!
So now I check things when I get home; my messages actually wait for me!  :)
But I do text with the best of 'em!  I was doing that on my phone.  But when I got that Blackberry, boy howdy lookout!  A FULL KEYBOARD!!!  :*))
It's a good thing I had that unlimited text option all along!  YIKES! ::)

Absolutely nothing! It's an essential tool for dialing a rotary phone!

Still have the original phone in the house that was installed in 1895 (and it works). Talk about 1 step away from a tin can !

You must be kidding ?? That phone might be worth a few $$ to a collector.

Not kidding; also both houses on the plantation were powered with Delco generators (12 volt systems - Edison said it was the wave of the future).  My dad dug it out a few years ago, put in a spark plug and replaced the gas tank, and the darn thing fired up !
