Haven't posted in a long time. But I am in the same boat as you Dexter. I'm from HK and I know exactly how you feel. I've been wearing hats for 4 years everytime i go out, avoiding situations where hats arent an option; swimming, formal dinners etc.

But you can't hide forever. Neither can I. I'll be shaving my head tonight... hope you join me

yup presently i still can hide but i do have this urge to shave n get this load off my mind.

imagine the days i do not worry about my hair n i can really concentrate on building up my physique

Then do it!

Dexter--go for it, go Sly.  One thing you should have noticed in the responses above--at least four of the Brothers have been exactly where you are now recently and through working it out here on SBG they have gained their self respect and are moving on with life and, for the Forum, proving that what is provided here keeps getting passed along, one or more Brothers reaching out to help another.  You'll soon be giving as generously as the Brothers are giving to you now--from the heart and their experiences.

It's an awesome group--you're going to love this, we promise.

Oh, on that combover bit--don't do it, I did it for years and I could kick myself in the a$$ every time I think of the wasted time, effort and money, leaving aside the embarrassment.

(EDIT)
Lots of ppl r also making cruel comments about my hair.
(EDIT)
fortunately while i started balding, i took up bodybuilding. i am fit n atheltic looking but that doesnt seem to help my self esteem.

Hi Dexter,

Welcome to the forum.

Argyle pointed out in another thread that after he shaved his head, the comments that he had been receiving about his hair loss ceased.  I also found this to be true.  Since shaving my head, the comments have been either positive, or nonexistent.  In most cases, people won't say anything.

Doing something positive for yourself (bodybuilding) is a good first step.  A ripping good physique goes very well with a shaved head.

Don't do what I did.  Don't put it off too long.  Those who care about you will be supportive.
