There are actually several non-college related fraternities. Knights of Columbus, Freemasons, and American Legion just to name a few.
Speaking as a Grand Knight, I can say that the only difference between College (or Social) Frats and other Frats is the whole college aspect. I mean, K Of C, we have a House [the House of God], we have our ceremonies [secret], and we have our drinking songs [most of which are Irish, atleast most the ones that I have sung at three in the morning drunk off Jamisons]... Interesting Factoid: YOU KNOW HOW YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN AN CATHOLIC BAR AND A PROTESTANT BAR IN NORTHERN IRLAND? -
