I just wanted to drop buy and say thanks to this forum!Ive finally been set free thanks to you guys! About 18 years ago i went down the hair transplant road. I had 3 of them in total and it looked good for about 5 or 6 years and then more hair started to fall out and i just HATED it. I also started to lose the hair on the back of my head which even made it worse. My life has been lived under a baseball cap for 18 years other than work and other events that i couldnt wear a hat to. I could just feel people staring at my transplant and was totally embarrassing. I wished i had never had done it. Well after doing a little research and finding this forum i shaved my head to the bone. Although im still a little bothered by the scars in the back of my head i feel 100% better! I still have to learn to not be so worried about that scar but its a great start. Everyone has been very supportive and some have asked about the scar and ive just told them the truth. They have ALL said wow i never new that you had a hair transplant.. I truly think that some people didnt know but others for sure did. Anyways that part of my life is over. I love being sly!!!! NOW a few questions, have people had any luck with getting that darn scar to look better?? Im looking for ideas. I have been using bio oil , vitamin E oil , and a scar cream. Id like to look into some laser treatments and anything else that may help. Any ideas would be appreciated.
THANKS AGAIN SLY GUYS!!!!
Glad to have you here! I think Vitamin E is supposed to help fade the color in scars, but am not 100% sure.
Right on man. Glad you make the right decision eventually. welcome
Welcome. Have you consulted w/ a dermatologist, they may be able to do something to minimize the appearance?

Vitamin E does help reduce scars. It may take a little longer for older scars, but it should help.
