Really looking forward to this mini-Series.  My father served in the Pacific and never would talk about the war or his experiences--that was the tradition of the Greatest Generation.
They have opened the Pacific section of the World War II Museum [formerly the D-Day Museum] in New Orleans and it has gotten great reviews.  The Museum is undergoing a major expansion  A must see on a visit to this area.

Looks like it could be a cool movie!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I'm about 2/3's through the book.  I picked it up on Sunday.  Definitely looking forward to it; a "Band of Brother's" type story.  I believe Hugh Ambrose is culminating his father's dream.  Stephen Ambrose had hoped to do a Pacific theatre version of "Band of Brothers".

I'm hoping to go up to North Georgia for the Currahee Reunion they have each year.  A friend of mine is a volunteer for it.
