I saw a video review on Amazon about the Rotoshaver, and I must say it intrigued me. There are two models the Pro Rotoshaver and the as seen on tv crappy version. I am checking out the Pro Rotoshaver. If I buy it I intend to use it on my face, I will post my situation on the face shaving post category. But back to the Rotoshaver, the claim made by Emjoi is that first of all its the number one in its category, in my estimation that is a dubious claim. Its an interesting design its 9 blades rotating like a loop conveyor belt. There is a safety cage so you do not nick your skin but I heard it happens anyway, there is no foil on this shaver. Some describe it as a hybrid between an electric and manual. You must use it wet with some sort of shave cream or gel, I am not sure about shaving oil. The manufacturer states that you can not use Silica based creams or gels. Next week I am going to order it and give it a whirl. I am the type of guy that enjoys gadgets.
