Shaving advice!!!!!!!

My head has been bald for about 2 months. I shave every other day, against the grain. My head feels completely smooth no rough spots. My problem is i can still see all of my hair. If you seen me you would think I haven't shaved in a few days. At first I thought I wasn't getting close enough but after trying different razors and electric shavers i know that's not it. The hair is right under my skin. i can see it but i just can cut it.
Does anyone know some one with the same problem?
Is this because I just started shaving my head or do you think this is permanent?

Any advice is really appreciated

Just like when you shave your face.... your head will have a shadow....especilly if you have dark hair.
Not much you can do about it..........

Yep, do a search on the forums for shadow, and you'll find lots of posts on the subject.  It's just something you have to deal with unless you do laser hair removal.

BTW, welcome to the forums.

Alright just wanted to share some info.. I think i have got the best shave Ive ever had today. Usually I like to shave after the shower but I didn't feel like getting in there so I really put some effort into pre shaving since it will be a little rougher. I do not know if you guys already do this im sure some of you do but i find that if you take at least 3-4 mins and rub shaving gel like your putting on lotion, really get down to your scalp sort of motion it will plays a major help in getting a real close shave. I almost have no shadow its great. You probably have real dark/thick hair so you could really just some more time on prep and do a much more complete shave taking your time.

hey pryse08:  2 get rid of the dreaded shadow... the hairs on your face or dome must fall out naturally or U can go 2 a "laser hair removal" center.  other then that... all head shavers learn 2 live with the dreaded shadow.

 Shadows are just part of shaving--But i think its a good thing cause everytime a woman looks at my head she says   "  OH MY GOD  "  ! !   wow
