Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but personally, I ain't buyin' it. Why would a company intentionally produce a product that declines in performance? I have found that Gillette Sensor blades perform just as well and last just as long as they did when I first started using them in the mid 90's. Granted, I never jumped on 3, 4, or 5 blade bandwagon as others did, so I can't comment on any decline in efficacy of such blades.
Oh, on a side note, the generic Atra Blades I got at Albertson's (Equaline) are awesome.

I dunno...corporate/manufacturers "obselescence" strategies are out there.

Then I guess I was lucky and picked the ONLY type of blade that is still being produced at the same level of quality standards today as it was when it was introduced. Boy I'm not only an Ordinary American, I'm a Lucky Ordinary American.
I respectfully disagree on this one.
Let's discuss this over a beer.

It's really just a marketing ploy. The quality is still there in the older blades, it's just that the newer blades have shiney packaging with cool logos and stuff. I boycotted the fusion for so long because I thought that many blades was lame, but once I tried it I fell in love with the blade on the end. I wish they would make a double or triple blade with the same little end blade.
