I have a full head of hair, so I'm BBC.  So I guess when I go sly, I must be pretty proud to make that choice instead of wearing hair.

However, I'm a little different from a lot of guys here.  I go back and forth between hair and no hair.  So I use my bald (sly) look as just another option.  However, the more I come to this site, the more I am digging this look and enjoying the carefree life style.

Like others said, I'm more proud of growing as a man, husband and father and hopefully at the end of the day can look in the mirror and like who's looking back (hair or no hair).

I am as proud of being bald as I am of the fact that I was born in Chicago.

OK, I'm not sure I get what you are saying here...   ...a Wisconsin plate on your post...  ...most cheeseheads would not want to admit having anything to do with Chicago...  ...Is this Sarcasm???  An emoticon would really help here... ...Maybe...  ...I dunno

I was being literal but cryptic. What I was saying there was that being born in Chicago was just what happened, kinda like being born to a particular set of parents. That was my destiny and there was no way around it. The story with the hair loss and subsequent shaving is similar. Where I am now is where I was destined to be. It all has to do with forks in the road, brother, forks in the road.

But I did go back and read over the thread and after reading what some of the other bros said about making decisions I have somewhat altered my stance. Because I could have gone the fuzzy toilet seat route, I don't think I EVER would have taken the combover turnoff.....I never liked spending that much time combing my hair even when I had hair. So I guess that I am proud of the decision I made to go sly because, for me, it was the best decision even when the vast majority of people I knew were not in my camp at the time.

I'm just glad I made the transition from short hair to being bald.

I like being bald and am proud that I was shaving my head YEARS before it really went mainstream.  I use to be the only completely bald man in a restaurant in the early 80s and now there are usually a number of us.
