Been lurking since last spring. Have shaved in the past and currently have been keeping a tight buzz. Just not sure if I look good sly. Right now just have a receding hairline which is starting to recede quickly. I work in a hospital and I can't tell you how many of the male doctors have really bad comb overs. I don't want to end up looking like that. So I been trying to the tight buzz and shaving once in a while. Anyway, great forum. Glad I found it.

Welcome Shawn, good to have you with us. The tight, low buzz is a great way to ease into keeping it smooth. You should try a 0, or no guard if you haven't yet. Also, you may only want to shave every few days or so, if that suits you better.
The best thing to do is give it the SBG thirty day trial, to allow yourself to get accustomed to the new look and feel.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I've been buzzing between a no guard and a #1. I had planned to grow my hair out for the winter but so far haven't done that. Shaved my head 2 Fridays ago and last Friday and then let it grow out. I like the sly look though.
