I know a couple of guys that do that and they just use a safety razor and some Foamy. Scary.

I used a beard trimmer a couple of times to trim the pits-n-pubes.  As tempting as it is to try to do this on an ongoing basis, it's just too much work!

And besides - I like being somewhat on the furry side.

I'm a bodybuilder & have been grooming my body for years. Initial body hair removal & frequency of maintenance there after depends on how hirsute you are. Neither is that difficult. If you have long body hair initially you should trim it as close as practical with scissors. Then shave with the best razor you can find. I like the Gillette Fusion. Shave in the shower. Hot water opens the pores. Lather yourself well with a good bar soap. Reapply as necessary. Sensitive areas use the swipe & lift method. Otherwise use the buffing method where ever you can. Both methods with & against the grain. The 1st time will take the longest. The time it takes will be less as you get better at it. Once it's removed you can also maintain with a good triple floating head electric razor like a norelco. Although it's not as close as a blade. If you have questions ask me.

I like the Norelco Bodygroom (the original style) because it has a trimmer type blade in the front so if you've gone a few days between shaves, the long hairs are clipped first and the the foil head shaver finishes the job.

But truth be told, if you start shaving body parts, you have to stay stubble free or women will NOT be happy, so razor and shaving cream is still the best way to go.

Unless you're a body builder, if you are naturally hairy, I would say let it be.  Being bald headed and hairy seems to go hand in hand.  When I had my surgery, I have to have my stomach shaved!  It itched severely afterwards since I am quite hairy.  It's something I won't do it I don't have to!  I am proud to be a sly hairy guy!
