Sure Mike! I just have one silly question: how do you post a picture?

Go to "Profile" (the orange button) and then Forum Profile Information in the menu on the left hand side. Now choose your picture.

Congratulations on your decision!

Welcome to the feel of "nearly" Sly--it only gets better from here, whether you're in France, color me green w/ envy, or in that little bit of France left behind in the USA, Louisiana.  Don't forget to use some sunscreen.

I'd love to visit Louisiana saintc and to listen some cool jazz in New Orleans clubs. What a fool this Napoleon guy could be at times!

Very true, but at least he left the French Civil Code behind, we're the only State with the civilian legal system, sort of like Quebec in Canada.  One territory, Puerto Rico, has the Spanish version.  There is a building in the Vieux Carre that was supposed to have been built for him upon his escape from imprisonment--whether it's true or not I don't know.  Pretty good bar now though, called appropriately the Napoleon House.  They have one of the death masks made from Napoleon's body in the museum on Jackson Square.

Hey Philip, welcome!!  Looks good.  That is how I started and wore the crew for a long time.  Be warned it gets addicting and before you know it you will be dreaming of the headblade or any other method you want to shave it down to skin.

Forgive me I didn't read all the replies yet, but all I can say is if you really feel like it's not you, let it grow back.  It's one of the few changes we can do that is immediate but can be reversed.

Hi everybody!
I did some speleology to find the thread i had initiated a few months ago.
I just buzzed my hair all around 3 mm. It's quite a change but i think it suits me ok.
The first thing that stroke me is how cool it is when you're walking down the street and a little breeze refreshes your head!
Anyway i owe you a thanks because this forum played its part in convincing me to go for it.

Wait until you start trying new shaving creams and you use one with Mentol in it! (I suggest Proraso) O0  Now that's good! :D  Welcome to the world of Sly.

Saintc: waow waow waow, i will take the bar exam this summer and i didn't even know that the french 1804 civil code was in use in Louisiana, shame on me! I thought it was common law all around in the States. I'm going to head to the library to further learn on that matter, it's really interesting.

thebbqguy, stemikger, gambrinus, thanks  :)
I will sport the look at least until the end of summer, with a good tan and a pastel color shirt i can totally see it rocking! Thank god also that i always kept doing a good deal of sport so i'm in good shape. And all in all i don't see myself going back.

Check the Tulane Law Review, lots of the history there.  Actually, the Louisiana Purchase was in 1803, so the drafts of the 1804 French Code were used by the redactors of our code, and because of the Spanish possession, parts of Las Sietas Partidas are also involved in our code.  Recent revisions have looked also to the BGB--we called it the "Big German Book," and other recent civilian code work.
