I shave my head and face in the shower.
For cheap products, I find that if I desire a Glossy Look, Aloe gel rubbed in after I get out and dry leaves a nice, shiny pate.
If I want a Matte Look, a small dab of el cheapo Suave clarifying hair conditioner, rubbed in then rinsed off real well, leaves a nice, soft, matte look.
Either way, dirt cheap.
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try the Suave conditioner trick. My dome is naturally shiny, nothing I've tried so far will give me the matte look. Some things will for a while, but after several hours, I'm oily again.
Do you rub in the conditioner after drying off, or in the shower?

In the shower and then rinse/rub under the water.
Thanks Rider. I went back and re-read it and you actually explained it the first time. I've been thinking about experimenting with the matte look and I think I have some conditioner laying around somewhere. I'll try it tonight. And that's a million dollar smile you got on that profile pic!
