Comcast - HD/DVR. Considering switching to FIOS to save a few bucks.

Just be careful that it's not just a teaser rate to get you to jump ship.

I don't have cable or satellite.  I have computer hooked up to my living room tv, which runs XBMC.  I usually watch justin.tv for watching movies and cartoons for kids, a fox news and cnn streams for watching news.  For watching Fringe and other TV shows I have to launch the web browser and goto hulu.com, but I am trying to figure out how to integrate that to XBMC.

The quality it usually OK, but it's not bad for a dated PC and a 1.5 mb/s DSL connection (which I pay too much for [$40/mo], but there isn't much of a choice for where I live).

Customer service for Charter, sucks.
I've got Charter Cable .... AND IT SUCKS.  Worst customer service I have ever seen.

I use FIOS for TV (about a zillion channels and I still never find anything interesting to watch) and internet (50 down/25 Up...VERY fast).

So far (been with them about a year now) customer service has been very good!

For my telephone (I have 2 lines at home) I still have yet to bit the VoIP bullet. In the beginning, my alarm company strongly advised against it and recommended I stay with traditional telephone service, but now that the alarm uses GSM (whatever that is) the hard wired phone line isn't needed. Currently I use FIOS fiber optics for the phone lines, and the sound quality is amazing. I might check out VoIP in the future.

I have Comcast Digital Cable.  They have slowly been adding new HD channels, so it's slightly better than it used to be, but I'd still love to dump them in favor of Fios, which is available in my town but not my neighborhood yet -- and no one can tell me when it will be available.   :Xo!    I have the Comcast Triple Play -- TV, internet and phone.  Got a very good rate but the two year contract is about to expire.  Since Fios isn't yet an option, I guess I'm going to have to try and negotiate a new contract with Comcast if I can.

I used to have DirecTV and liked it a lot.  I only switched back to cable because Comcast paid me back twice what I paid for the dish if I signed up for their digital cable and broadband internet package.

It's Verizon's fiber-optics television and internet network.  My dad has it; they have a much better channel selection -- particularly when it comes to HD channels, than what Comcast offers.

Don't feel bad then, it's pretty new, maybe.  Not even rumored in LA.

AT&T U-verse for TV & Internet.  Better picture quality and faster net than we had with Time Warner Cable.

DirecTV, love it!
We have a Verizon AirCard for internet.  Just plug it into the laptop, and surf away.
