Why do I always miss a spot ?

• One thing that I noticed this morning is that I always seem to miss a tiny spot on my head when shaving it.  It is right at the front just above what was my hairline and no matter how many different directions I shave it I always seem to end up with a little velcro patch there.  Any one else find that they have a similar missed patch ?

• It could be a cowlick-type spot where the hair does not lay in the same direction as the rest of the hair. If you shave against the grain you get used to using a certain level of pressure and when you get to that spot the hair is laying down instead of resisting the razor and does not get cut. Maybe going over the area with an electric after it is dry or with a different razor might get some results.
  The back of my neck is like this. No matter what I do I cannot get rid of the fuzzy feeling even though I am shaving it close.

• Practice makes perfect...I used to miss certain spots and adapted accordingly.

• I have a similar issue with the top of my head. Like everyone else says, practice. I thought I had used every direction possible and eventually I was able to take it right off.

• I always miss the spot on the scalp that has a dimple or low spot.  I have to continually rake this area to get it smooth.   Bumps and valleys on the scalp are a pain.  You talk of long strokes while shaving, that doesn't work for me.  Like you said, different strokes for different folks!

• I have a spot right on the hair line at the front.
  I have to go in all directions to make sure I get it.
  When I had hair, there was a little patch there that had a mind of its own!

• I'e got one around where the crown used to on the back of the head. I got so annoyed with it a couple of weeks ago that I applied a bit too much pressure whilst I was shaving. Not suprisingly this just upset it and it then began to bleed
