I rarely take this stance (a loss is a loss), but this is a HUGE step for my Raiders. They outplayed a Super Bowl contender for a majority of the game, beat the crap out of them (2 OL had to leave the game  >:D ), and had a chance to win. The errors they made (dropping back in coverage, a couple of questionable plays called) and an AWFUL call in the endzone was the difference.

I definitely have a greater sense of optomism for this season now than I did before last night's game.

Amen Schro, the Raiders are always getting called on ridiculous god awful calls. My brother was at Oakland last night, said it was one of the loudest Raider's games he's been to.
