New Guy Questions

Hey guys,

I had a couple of questions about... well a few things.

First, for those of you that use the HeadBlade with the triple blades, how often do you need to change your blades.

Second, about how long does it take for your head to blend in with the rest of your face... I'm really getting tired of the white scalp already.

Get out and get a little sun... not too much, of course! BTW, there are a whole bunch of guys who actually like the "white wall" look with a high & tight or full head shave. They feel it shows off the fact that they purposely shave their head and that they aren't naturally bald. Kind of a hardcore attitude, but, hey, works for them.  :)

HB triples last me about a week..... go slowly with the sun on that newly shaved dome my friend.....

Ok, well you say a week...is that daily shaving or not...I guess I'm just looking for a number of shaves...mine has had 3 shaves under its belt already.  I am definitely turning into a daily shaver.  Also, as a red head, I have light skin, so am for sure taking care of it.  Although, the last time I shaved my head, I was at a camp for a week and didn't really worry about sunscreen, yet I didn't burn at all.

Justin,
After rinsing your HB triple blade throughly, remove it from the shaver and place (store) the blade in a mini container of OLIVE OIL - just enough to cover the blade. (You can buy the cheap olive oil from the $ stores - works like a charm!!)

Olive Oil will extend the life of your blades greatly. I can get up to 2-1/2 months (sometimes more) on ONE triple blade razor before changing them out and the blade gives me a "bone close" type shave every time.

A while back, there was a section called "Olive Oil Update" here on the SBG forum. Do a "subject search" within the SBG forum and type in "Olive Oil Update". You'll see the many posts of using olive oil there and its many benefits.

I use the doubles, but found that they last about 1 week.  As for the scalp, you just need to get some more sun, but make sure to wear sunscreen!
