I have been there too being a busy student, Dad, Husband, and working two jobs. I think morning exercise is fantastic, it helps you wake up and start the day right. Also, walking or riding a bike for at least part of your commute can help. One of the things I like to do is exercise while watching T.V. That way I can get up to an hour extra exercise in (light to moderate intensity). Just some pointers that have help me keep reasonably fit. :)

Not sure if you are still looking for advice, but just in case  :XX

One extremely important thing to do is eat 6 smaller meals a day. This keeps your metabolism rolling which in turn burns fat. Just try to eat every three or so hours. Keep snacks on you, thats what I do. Protein bars, fruits, Nuts....definetly nuts they are great for you. I would recommend almonds.

Just being at school and walking to classes and such is burning good calories. you are not at home all day sitting on the couch which is a good thing. Losing weight is 90% nutrition. Eat right, and eat six or more meals a day and keep up the workout and you will be on the right path. It will fly off if you keep it up.

As others have said, try to incorporate weight lifting into your routine. Muscle burns more calories, and your body goes into fat burning mode up to 48 hours after you worked out.

All in all good luck , great job so far. Keep up the motivation!

20 Minutes of cardio and 40 minutes of weight-lifting is good as well?
